L'anno di duetti tra Mark Knopfler ed Emmylou Harris si conclude con una
favolosa opera live che è un ottimo ricordo per uno dei migliori tour del 2006. L'album è composto da un dvd che riporta fedelmente il concerto al Gibson Ampitheatre di Universal City del 28 giugno e da un cd con i migliori pezzi ed una struggente All That Matters, tratta da un'altra serata. Come già espresso in presentazione del loro album, la coppia è molto ben affiatata e dal vivo è assolutamente eccezionale. Emmylou parte subito alla grande mentre Mark ci mette qualche pezzo per scaldarsi. Ma appena ha ingranato, diventa irresistibile. E' l'occasione per ascoltare gli arrangiamenti live di Our Shangri-la, If This Is Goodbye e This Is Us che secondo me sono tra i pezzi migliori scritti dall'artista britannico negli ultimi anni. |
